VerbonZone LECTURE — Half-Gap ============================== Video-book subject page (sample #1) Matt mornings corpus: ~2025-09-16 to 2026-09-18 Full how-to book: https://verbonzone.com/rocket-scooter.txt Quick hop: https://verbonzone.com/rs-half-gap.txt Master lookup: https://verbonzone.com/rs-lookup.txt One-liner --------- Half-gap is the midpoint between the prior session close and today’s open (and there is also a new-week half-gap: Friday close to Sunday open). Matt uses it as support/resistance, a target, and a confluence anchor. How to use it (short how-to) ---------------------------- 1. Mark prior day close. 2. Mark Globex / session open. 3. Mark the midpoint — that is half-gap. 4. Also mark full gap-fill (back to prior close) when the gap matters. 5. Ask: fill, float, or fail at half-gap? 6. Add confluence (VWAP, rocket/HV, VARIS, resilience/ARB) before sizing up. On stream, half-gap shows up as: - Support or resistance (“float at half-gap”) - A scalp or swing target - Context with ARB / resilience (stocks “achieved” half-gap) - Something Matt will still trade as pure S/R when fancy confluence tools are down Common live habits: - With positive resilience, half-gap often plays as a place to build / float - With negative resilience, treat it more carefully as resistance or gap-fill fuel - ES and NQ can disagree (one tags half-gap, one does not) - Random open / close / half-gap taps without confluence — size down or skip Lecture pack — Watch -------------------- Eight Matt explanations. Different months, different emphasis. Open a link; YouTube jumps near that teaching moment (± a few seconds from auto-captions). If one clip does not click, try the next. 1) DEFINITION / STRUCTURE Date: 2025-12 Why: Marks half-gap clearly in the middle of the gap structure. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP6y6FfHHvE&t=3541 2) AS RESISTANCE (WITH RESILIENCE) Date: 2025-10 Why: Half-gap as strong resistance when resilience is negative. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsAg2vkm9-w&t=4423 3) GAP STRUCTURE / HALF-GAP SPACE (SPY OPEN VS PRIOR CLOSE) Date: 2026-02 Why: Shows the space between prior close and open — the gap half-gap sits in. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_-NZGlGVMQ&t=7346 4) PURE S/R WHEN CONFLUENCE TOOLS ARE DOWN Date: 2026-09 Why: Half-gaps + yellow lines still traded as support/resistance without the full stack. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PX4O2lA6eDw&t=8604 5) WITH CONFLUENCE (ROCK-SOLID S&P) Date: 2026-09 Why: Half-gap on S&P called out as a rock-solid confluence trade. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4g79l9ilp8&t=11820 6) HALF-GAP + GAP-FILL BUCKET (POSITIVE RESILIENCE) Date: 2026-09 Why: Buckets half-gap and gap-fill together with positive resilience framing. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7P6Tbt7m7I&t=3347 7) ARB / FLOAT AT HALF-GAP Date: 2026-09 Why: When ARB is good, “float at half-gap” story. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i85LiARERE&t=5715 8) CAUTION — CONFLUENCE FIRST Date: 2026-03-26 Why: Matt says the pivots only show where volume is and the real skill is sizing; without confluence he takes the bounce at the level only small.
